Sameer Deevi, manager of data engineering at Kalderos, has been chosen as one of the winners for Built In's Tech Innovator Awards. The awards seek to find the tech leaders of tomorrow by celebrating future-thinkers and recognizing barrier-breakers.

The inaugural Tech Innovator Awards honor rising technologists for their unique and inventive contributions to tech. The winners were selected by a panel of prominent tech executives hailing from the likes of Reddit, Blue Apron, IBM and Microsoft.
Sameer Deevi’s nomination came from his years of resourcefulness and willingness to research and experiment to ensure peak performance and create growth capacity for data systems. In one particular instance, Sameer's careful assessment and exhaustive efforts allowed the team to develop a new workflow that brought 50 percent runtime reductions and significantly improved visibility.
Perhaps most notably, Sameer exemplifies Kalderos company values by being both steadfast and collaborative. In his nomination, Sameer was described as "relentless" in his efforts to produce better results, while also operating as a "great communicator and patient teacher."
The Kalderos values are foundational to how Kalderos assembles its teams—allowing Kalderos to welcome high-performing team members who bring the same enthusiasm and excellence as Sameer. These values have also allowed Kalderos to stand out in an already thriving tech community in Chicago, as evidenced by recognition two years in a row as one of Built In Chicago's Best Places to Work. Kalderos also appeared on Built In lists as one of Chicago's Best Small Companies to Work For and Chicago's Best Paying Companies.
Following the announcement, Sameer was lauded internally at the Kalderos stand-up meeting, an all-hands biweekly virtual huddle that allows all teams to provide key updates or spotlight exciting developments.
